Due to needing to interact with the content of your browser tabs, pausing may be prevented by (even unrelated) browser extensions.
Setup
Turn on Allow JavaScript from Apple Events in the browsers you want to control. The exact location of the option depends on the browser.
Usage
Pause audio and video in all tabs of all open web browsers via the pause all keyword. pause others does the same except for the current tab.
- ↩ Pause tabs in all supported browsers.
- ⌘↩ Pause tabs in current browser.
